Mid-American Building Supply Acquired by HDI

Moberly-based Mid-American Building Supply has been acquired by Canadian company Hardwoods Distribution Inc. (HDI) for 270-million dollars. HDI will enter into leases of the facilities that Mid-American Building Supply operates. The acquisition also expands HDI’s midwest presence where they currently have 83 distribution centers. Mid-Am’s 364 employees will be offered employment in HDI and their management team will continue to serve in their positions following the acquisition.
