Marceline and Salisbury Seeking Even Records

The Marceline Tigers host the Salisbury Panthers Friday night in a battle of two teams seeking to reach the .500 mark. The Tigers opened the season 0-3 while scoring just 28 points over those games. Since then they’ve scored over 40 points in consecutive wins. Marceline coach Joey Peterson explains the recent success of the offense.

The Tigers rushed for 321 yards and four touchdowns in last week’s 42-6 win over Fayette. They’ve won the last twelve meetings against the Panthers. Peterson says this version of Salisbury provides some challenging matchups.

The Panthers snapped their two-game losing streak after defeating Harrisburg 36-32. Salisbury’s ground game combined for 349 yards and four touchdowns. Coach Oren Magruder…

Salisbury is led on offense by sophomores Patrick White at quarterback and Brayden White at running back. Magruder wants to see continued improvement from his underclassmen.
