Madison Man Charged For Murder of Missing Holliday Woman After Human Remains Found in Monroe County Pond

A Madison man has been taken into custody in connection with the 2021 disappearance and murder of 88-year-old Betty L. Hayes of Holliday. Investigators with the Missouri State Highway Patrol and the Monroe County Sheriff’s Office have arrested 65-year old Lyle W. At approximately 8pm on Friday evening, Miller was arrested and is being held without bond. Sergeant Haslag says anyone with information is encouraged to call the Missouri State Highway Patrol Troop B Headquarters at 660-385-21-32.
