Lewis and Clark conference superintendents met last Thursday to discuss Schuyler County’s future eligibility as a participant in the conference. Knox County Superintendent Andy Turgeon, this years spokesperson for the conference, says no decisions have been made.

Last month, Schuyler County announced it will make the transition to eight-man football in 2020. As a result, they would be violating the conference’s constitution.

Turgeon confirmed the conference has asked Schuyler County to make an effort to return to 11-man football in 2021. He explains what the next steps are.

The Lewis and Clark board, which is made up by the conference’s superintendents, have not scheduled a future meeting.
