Lady Hounds Clinch Top Seed, Hounds Finish Region Regular Season Undefeated

The Moberly Lady Greyhounds clinched the top seed in the Region 16 Tournament with a 91-85 overtime win, and the Greyhounds finished Region 16 play 12-0 with an 86-67 win against Three Rivers Saturday night at Fitzsimmons-John Arena. Moberly overcame an 11-point first half deficit, and led by as many as seven in the fourth quarter before Three Rivers clawed back to force overtime tied at 75. McKenna Eddings celebrated sophomore night game-highs of 38 points and 14 rebounds.

The Lady Hounds end the regular season 26-3, and 13-2 in Region 16. They will host a semifinal a week from Tuesday, and if they win that, will host the championship game that Friday night. Three Rivers is 22-4, and 12-3.

In the men’s game, Moberly only led by four at the half before blowing the game open. Brandon Hall had 18, and RaeShaun Ambris scored all 16 of his points in the second half.
