At last week’s Knox County School Board meeting, it was announced the district has been recognized as an Apple Distinguished School. Knox County Superintendent Andy Turgeon says the district had to meet several expectations in order to receive this honor.

Teachers must also meet several criteria in order to be apple-certified.

This marks the second time the Knox County School District has been recognized as an Apple Distinguished School. It previously received the recognition in 2017. The district had to re-apply for the designation this year, and will now be recognized as an Apple Distinguished School for the next three years.
