Kirksville Police Warn About Scam

The Kirksville Police Department wants residents to know it is not connected to, nor gets funds from, an organization that sent a mailer to people in town. A citizen recently contacted the department about the request from an alleged police organization from Virginia, making multiple mentions of –quote— “supporting your Kirksville area police.” –end quote– The Kirksville Police Department says it’s proud to be supported by local citizens, both in spirit and in funding, but encourages citizens to research where the money goes. If you cannot locate any information, contact your local law enforcement and ask questions.
