A 30-year-old Kirksville man is in custody after a bank robbery at the main branch of the Bank of Kirksville shortly after ten Tuesday morning. Kirksville Police were called to the bank on the 200 block of South Franklin. They were informed the suspect may be armed with explosives. A nearby State Highway Patrol trooper responded, found the man inside the bank and determined he did not have explosives. He was arrested without further incident. Witnesses said the man entered the bank, said he was robbing them, and said he had explosives on his person. He demanded employees go to another area of the bank. He is held at the Adair County Jail pending the filing of formal charges.
