Kirksville City Council Approves Land Swap With Hannibal Regional Medical Center

Earlier this month, the Kirksville City Council gave final approval for a rezoning proposal from Hannibal Regional Medical Center for 170 acres of land on East Illinois Street. Hannibal Regional intends to build a new medical center on the site. Communications director Austin Miller says the council has now approved a land swap for five acres of land.

The water tower the city intends to replace in the future is located near Kirksville High School. Construction of a new water tower is not expected for several years.
