Hoyt Named New Brookfield Superintendent

Current Northwestern R-1 School District Superintendent Dr. Eric Hoyt has been named the new Brookfield Superintendent. Hoyt is a graduate of Brookfield. He says he’s looking forward to the opportunity to return to where it all started.

Hoyt will take over for Dr. Kyle Collins, who will retire at the end of this school year. Collins spent the last seven years as Brookfield’s superintendent.

Hoyt began his teaching career in 2006 at Franklin Elementary School in Liberty. After spending a year at Macon, he moved to the Northwestern School District in Mendon in 2010 to become the principal and athletic director. In 2017, he was promoted to superintendent. Hoyt reflects on his time at Northwestern.
