Tanksley finished with a game-high 25 points. The Hounds had not led since the eight-minute mark of the first half prior to that bucket. Tedrick Washington finished with 13 points, Brandon Hall scored 11 and Tre’Von Spillers put in 10. Smith said other players stepped up.

Spillers was named the Region 16 Player of the Year while Tanksley and Washington each garnered First Team All-Region honors. The 29-3 Greyhounds next play Saturday in the district championship against the winner of Monday’s Region 4 title game between Triton and Highland.
