Hot Start Boosts Hounds Over State Fair in Region Semis

The Moberly Greyhounds will play in the Region 16 Championship game Saturday night following a 77-52 victory over State Fair Friday. The Hounds scored the first 10 points of the game. Tedric Washington put in a game-high 21.

Austin Ward with the calls on KWIX and centralmoinfo.com. The Hounds led by as much as 34 before late subs checked in. Coach Pat Smith’s squad forced State Fair into 20 turnovers and scored 24 points off them.

Tre’Von Spillers had 13 points and Brandon Hall contributed 11. RaeShaun Ambris scored eight points and was perfect from the field before exiting early with a lower body injury.

The Hounds play Mineral Area for the region championship. The Cardinals defeated Three Rivers 78-69. Pregame will start around 5:50 on KWIX.
