Haden Leaving MACC for Georgia Southwestern

Moberly Lady Greyhounds head coach Hana Haden has been named the head coach at NCAA Division II Georgia Southwestern State University in Americus, Georgia. Haden has coached the Lady Hounds for the past five seasons, with a record of 118-36, including 47-15 in Region 16 play, and a 29-4 record this past season. Haden was contacted about the opening last week.

The Hurricanes were 26-7 this past season, winning the Peach Belt Championship and losing in the NCAA D-II Sweet 16. She replaces Justin Payne, who after four years, is headed to his alma mater, D-I Nicholls State in Louisiana. Former Lady Hound Kayla Langley averaged 11.2 points and 6.4 rebounds in starting all 33 games for the Canes as a junior this past season.

The Lady Hounds have been invited to the national tournament for four straight seasons. Haden has also been an assistant at UMSL and Lamar. Haden was head coach of Harris-Stowe State University from 2015 until 2017.
