Greyhounds Season Preview

The 15th-ranked Moberly Greyhounds basketball team starts the season at home Friday night against Link Year Prep. Coach Pat Smith is starting his 14th season as the head coach. The only player back from last year’s team is Isaac Nobles from Macon.

He says having that number of transfers will help.

He says he’s comfortable with his starting five.

The projected starters are Jaheim Tanksley, Tedric Washington, Brandon Hall, Tre’von Spiller, and Noah Gordon.

As far as the rest of the team goes…

Smith says Region 16 should be tough again this year. He’s seen all of the others except West Plains at jamborees.

With our football coverage, we will not be able to broadcast Friday night’s game, but we will have Saturday night’s game against North Central as part of a doubleheader with the women playing John Wood. We will have the pregame at 4:50, women at 5, and men around 7 on KWIX and centralmoinfo.com.
