Greyhounds Face State Fair in Region 16 Semis

The 4th-ranked and top-seeded Moberly Greyhounds will meet the fifth seed, State Fair, in Friday’s semifinals of the Region 16 Tournament. The Greyhounds are 27-3, and finished the regular season 12-0 in the region. State Fair, which advanced with a 73-60 win at West Plains Tuesday night, is now 10-20 and went 3-9 in the region. Moberly Coach Pat Smith’s focus now is survive and advance.
Moberly has won the last 23 times the two teams have played. J.B. Connoley will have the pregame from Lincoln University in Jefferson City at 3:50 and tip at 4 on KWIX. Mineral Area and Three Rivers meet in the other semifinal at 6. The championship is Saturday night at 6.
