The Great Lakes Valley Conference (GLVC) will host its 11th annual GLVC Football Kickoff event on Friday, July 28, in advance of the league’s 12th season on the gridiron.
The annual celebration will be held at The Hettenhausen Center for the Arts on the campus of McKendree University in Lebanon, Illinois, will take place from 11:30 to 1:30.
All eight Conference teams will be represented by a coach and two players.
Truman State University’s Gregg Nesbitt is preparing for his 14th season, after leading the Bulldogs to a 5-1 GLVC record in the 2022 season, including 9-2 overall. Truman, for the third-straight time, represented the GLVC in the third annual America’s Crossroads Bowl against Great Midwest Athletic Conference (GMAC) foe Tiffin, keeping its winning streak alive with a one-point victory, 28-27.
There will be one new coach and one new member at the GLVC Kickoff. William Jewell College will be led by Neil Linhart, and Upper Iowa officially became the Conference’s 14th league member as of July 1st.
Superstation KRES has been a fixture at the GLVC Kickoff and will once again provide post-event coverage. Fans can participate in several social media outlets during the event.
