Conyers Hopes Past Experience Helps Rebuild Hickman Football

New Hickman football coach Justin Conyers has experience in building programs. His head coaching career began in 2013 at Battle.

He led the Spartans to five straight district championships and a state championship in 2014. Conyers then took the head job at Hallsville and in five years guided the Indians to 37 wins, two district championships and a conference championship. Both the district and conference titles were the first in program history.

Conyers now takes on a Hickman program that’s coming off an 0-10 season and has just 19 wins over the last 11 seasons. He says building relationships will be key.

Conyers knows progress goes beyond the win-loss record.

Justin Conyers is a 1999 Hickman graduate.
