Columbia Police investigate armed robbery on Christmas Eve

Columbia Police officers were dispatched to Campus View Apartments around 1:10 Tuesday afternoon in Columbia, after the report of an armed robbery. According to the news release, two suspects approached a nearby food truck and told the employee they were armed and demanded money. One of the suspects punched the victim then fled the scene on foot. According the CPD, no property was taken from the scene. Both suspects were described as black men, wearing dark colored clothing, and fled via foot in the Southeast direction. The department’s Police K-9 unit was called to the scene, however they unable to locate the suspects.
