Chadwick Downs Green City, Gophers Compete For Third Saturday

The Chadwick Cardinals hit a game-winning three to defeat the Green City Gophers 52-49 in the state semifinal at Mizzou Arena. Green City trailed 46-48 in the fourth after a Chadwick free throw. The Gophers had an immediate response.

Steven Findley Jr with the call on 104.7 KRES and centralmoinfo.com. A Green City foul on the other end sent Chadwick to the line where one-of-two free throws was made to tie it at 49. The Gophers inbounded from the side with 22 seconds remaining.

Asher Buggs-Tipton finished with 21 points and eight rebounds. He and fellow starter Kaden Hatcher fouled out in the final frame. Tristian Smith finished with 17 points for Chadwick.
