Centralia, Father Tolton Girls Golf Teams Enter Day Two Of State Championships in Second Place

The Centralia girls golf team enters the final day of the Class 1 State Championship in second place after posting a team score of 404 Monday. Centralia trails only Villa Duchesne who finished Monday with a team score of 377.

All four golfers for Centralia finished in the top 28 individually. The four Lady Panthers golfers were separated by just six strokes, with ReaLee Smith leading the way with a score of 98. Tess Stephens, Bailey Pace and Kennedy Dickerson shot 99, 103 and 104, respectively.

Tess Sheerman of Marceline led all area individual qualifiers with a score of 93 and enters Tuesday in third place for Class 1.

In Class 3, Father Tolton also placed second after the first day with a team score of 352. Audrey Rischer shot the second best score of the day with a 71, trailing only Reagan Zibilski of Springfield Catholic who shot a 66. Katherine Ryan, Savanna Hazelrigg and Katelyn Ankenman shot 82, 93, 106, with Ryan finishing tied for ninth individually going into the final day.

In Class 4, Rock Bridge sits in fourth place after one day of competition. Siena Minor of Rock Bridge shot a 75 to finish fourth among all golfers.
