Brookfield Hires Future CMU Graduate Cory Luke As Head Football Coach

The Brookfield Bulldogs are turning to a soon-to-be college graduate as their next head football coach. The Board of Education hired Cory Luke last Wednesday to replace Scott Stevens, who recently accepted a promotion to become the High School Assistant Principal, and Athletic Director. Luke explains what attracted him to the Brookfield job.

Luke played college football at Central Methodist University and was a three-year starting wide receiver, collected All-Conference honors this past fall, and was named a team captain. Luke, who is set to graduate in May, explains why he believes he is ready for a varsity head football coaching job straight out of college.

Luke acknowledged he is still working on developing his philosophy as a head coach, but he has a general idea what he wants to see from his teams.

Luke is currently student teaching at New Franklin High School. The Bulldog coach outlines his plans for the summer once he graduates.

In addition to being the new head football coach, Luke will also teach strength and conditioning at the district.

You can hear more from new Brookfield Football Coach Cory Luke Friday at 9:32am on Magic City Sports on Information Radio KWIX.
