Bridge Rehabilitation Projects Begin Next Week in Northeast Missouri

Beginning next Wednesday rehabilitation work will resume on 25 rural northeast Missouri briges. Work began last summer on bridges in Adair, Clark, Knox, Lewis, Macon, Schuyler, Scotland and Shelby counties and was halted during the winter. This is part of a $2.2 million contract awarded last year to Capital Paving & Construction. All work is weather dependent. Traffic will be reduced to one lane where crews are working and a 10 foot width restriction will be in place. The bridges were included in the Safe and Sound Bridge program, which rebuilt more than 800 bridges approximately 12 years ago.
