Basye Outlines Education Committee Priorities

Rocheport Representative Chuck Basye is the chairman of the House Elementary and Secondary Education Committee for this legislative session. Basye says the committee will focus a lot on school choice.

Basye reiterated the goal is not to attack public schools, and adding school choices could actually benefit everyone with some competition. Basye is also confident the budget committee will attempt to fully fund the foundation formula for a third straight year.

Basye says another goal from the committee is to improve on funding transportation for schools.
