Ashland FFA Awaits National Finalist Results

Thousands of FFA Members will fire up their internet routers and webcams as the 93rd National FFA Convention begins Tuesday. That’ll include several eager members at Southern Boone High School, whose chapter is in the running for a Model of Excellence award. Abby Wall describes the chapter’s Building Communities project.

Three of the chapter’s members are also in the running for national proficiency awards: Amanda Belew in wildlife management, Cole Hammett in specialty crop production, and Ethan Hilgedick in fruit production. Chapter officers Nicole Sjostrand and Millie Plunkett explain what it will mean for the chapter if they bring home a national title.
