Another area roadway has been closed by a slide. The Missouri Department of Transportation is working to repair a culvert and slide on Monroe County Route U about one mile from Missouri Route 107. Area Engineer Brian Untiedt said the road has collapsed and the area around it is unstable. He said that section of Route U will remain closed until MoDOT can determine the next step toward a solution. While a definite time frame for the closure has not been determined, Untiedt said it is likely to be months before the road can reopen. The detour around the closure is to use Missouri Route 107 to U.S. Route 24 or Missouri Route 154.

Route 3 in Randolph County remains closed near the quarry due to a slide.
