A Centralia Man is Arrested Following a Joint-Investigation
A joint-investigation involving the Callaway County, Audrain County, and Boone County Sheriffs Offices, lead to an arrest and charges filed last Wednesday, On January 16th. The Callaway County Prosecuting attorney charged 24-year-old Austin Creason, of Centralia, with burglary in the 2nd degree and theft. Creason is currently being held without bond in the Audrain County Jail for local charges there as well.
The investigation was initiated back in December as a result of a numerous thefts occurring near the Callaway-Audrain- Boone County line. Deputies from all three agencies executed search warrants leading to the arrest.
Sheriff Clay Chism points out, this joint-investigation is another great example of local sheriffs and other agencies working together to combat crime in there communities. Clay also says, criminals don’t stop at city limits or county lines, nor should we.
The investigation is still ongoing and further arrests or charges are possible as the joint-investigation continues.
