2023 SEC Men’s Basketball Preseason Teams Announced

Mizzou’s Kobe Brown was named a preseason All-SEC first teamer by the league’s coaches, the conference announced Tuesday. The 6’8″ senior averaged 12.5 points and 7.6 rebounds per game for the Tigers last season, and finished with 40 steals, leading the team in all three categories. Brown is the first Tiger to earn first-team preseason accolades since Michael Porter, Junior prior to the 2017-18 season. In all, 36 different players received votes for the coaches’ teams. The coaches’ preseason All-SEC first and second teams consist of a minimum of eight players on each squad, voted on by the SEC basketball coaches.
