Two Columbia Residents Seriously Injured in Rollover Accident

Two Columbia residents were seriously injured in an accident on I-70 near mile marker 135 about 8:45pm Wednesday. The State Highway Patrol says 27-year-old Jared Thompson’s car went off the right side of the eastbound lanes, rolled onto the outer road, and came to a rest blocking both lanes of it. Both he and a passenger, 26-year-old Kerena Dieckmann, were ejected. Both were taken to Columbia. Thompson was booked for DWI, failure to stay on the right half of the road, and not wearing a seatbelt.
