This is Severe Weather Awareness Week. National Weather Service Warning Coordination Meteorologist Jon Kurtz says prepare now for a tornado warning.
The Route 63 corridor is in that transition area between the National Weather Service office in Pleasant Hill and the St. Louis offices. Kurtz says they communicate when storms threaten the heart of our area.
