MACC Working on Basketball Schedules for Next Season

The MACC basketball teams are putting together their schedules for the upcoming season. Coach Pat Smith says the men’s schedule is almost complete.

Women’s coach Hana Haden says it has been problematic trying to get her team’s schedule together.

She says the teams still on the schedule are good.

Iowa Western, which is the team the Lady Hounds beat to earn a spot in the national tournament this past season, announced in April it is moving its men’s basketball team to Division II next season, and the women the year after. Northeast Nebraska from that region announced Wednesday it also intends to do the same with both teams after next season.
