Local Lakes Will Be Busy this Weekend

Over the Fourth of July holiday weekend, many of the lakes and rivers across the state will be busy. Corporal Darren Mueller, with the Water Division of the Highway Patrol, says that has actually been the case for the past several months.

And that includes life jackets.

Mueller outlines two of the most common violations he finds.

Mueller also encourages people to exercise patience when they are putting their boat into the water.
