After serving for over six years as Missouri’s 45th District Representative, Kip Kendrick is set to begin a new role as the chief of staff for Senator-elect Greg Razer of Kansas City. Kendrick explains what his day-to-day role will be like as Razer’s chief of staff.

Kendrick would have begun his final term as state representative in 2021. He plans to build on the work he has done in the Missouri House.

Kendrick adds term limits played a role in his decision to resign from his position with the Missouri House of Representatives.

For the past three years, Kendrick and Razer had served together on the Missouri House Budget Committee. Razer takes over the Seventh District Senate seat after gaining 81 percent of the vote against Green Party candidate Nathan Kline.
