Initiative Petition Reform in the Works for Missouri Legislature

Initiative Petition Reform legislation could take center stage this year in Jefferson City. Representative Peggy McGaugh of Carrollton is the chair of the House Elections and Elected Officials Committee.

McGaugh dicusses the plan for organizing the different bills.

The goal is to require more than a simple majority to pass an initiative petition in Missouri. McGaugh hopes to have legislation moved out of the committee by the start of March.
