Columbia Man Killed in Accident

A Columbia man was killed in an accident in Boone County Friday night. The Columbia Police Department reports that at 6:54, 21-year-old Logan Warnecke was jogging west to east across College Avenue, north of Bass Avenue, when he was struck by a vehicle driven by 21-year-old Kathrine Madigan. Warnecke was transported to University of Missouri Hospital with life threatening injuries and was later pronounced dead from the injuries he sustained. Columbia Police also report that they do not believe drugs or alcohol contributed to the crash, but the investigation is ongoing.
