Area Players Named to All-Region Girls Soccer Teams

Area players across three classes were named to Missouri’s All-Region Girls Soccer Team for 2023. In Class 1, state champion Father Tolton was heavily represented. Senior Macie Parmer was named the Region 3 Player of the Year. Sophomore Ava Martin was named the Co-Defensive Player of the Year for Region 3. Junior Rachel Tipton was named the Goalkeeper of the Year. The Trailblazers were also represented in Region 3 by Taylor Madison, Kenzie Serio and Adelaide Devine. In Region 2 Canton was represented by senior Kimbrelyn Thrower and junior Macie Fisher.

In Class 2 Moberly’s Ella Mathes received All-Region honors. Southern Boone had four players named to the Region 4 team. Julia Richardson was named the Co-Offensive Player of the Year. Jacey Scheer, Ava Leiniger and Tessa Roney were the other Lady Eagles named to the team. Marshall was represented by Chantel Richardson and Kiki Simic, while Kirksville’s Lucy Tiedemann was also named to the Region 4 team.

Each Columbia school was represented on the Class 4 Region 3 team. Seniors Lily Patterson and Madison Henderschott were selected from Rock Bridge. Juniors Rylee Lanham and Lucy Elfrink were Hickman’s representatives. Senior Maliyah Miller was Battle’s lone All-Region player.
