Westran’s Jo Owens Earns All-State Band Honors

Westran senior Jo Owens recently received 2023 All-State Band honors. She received second chair and was able to speak about a piece of music before performing it. Owens describes that moment.

Owens has been in band since sixth grade. She plans to attend Missouri State University, to major in music education with the goal of becoming a music teacher.
