Two Missouri Hog Producers Elevated To National Positions

This month’s World Pork Expo saw a pair of Missouri hog producers elevated to national positions with their commodity groups.  Missouri Pork Association Executive Vice President Don Nikodim was at the expo in Des Moines and tells Regional Radio that a farmer from Northeast Missouri will soon lead the National Pork Producers Council.

Nikodim says when Hays becomes NPPC president next year, he’ll be the first from Missouri in over 40 years, when John Saunders of Osborn held the post.  Also at this month’s expo, Drexel producer Scott Phillips returned to the National Pork Board, which administers the pork checkoff program.
