Truman Topples Hannibal-LaGrange Before Holiday Break

Truman State women’s basketball defeated Hannibal-LaGrange 94-37 at Pershing Arena Sunday. HLG scored first, but Truman answered with an 8-0 run.

Eric Duick with the calls on Superstation KRES and centralmoinfo.com. Hannah Belanger connected on five of eight 3-pointers. The junior finished with 19 points and five assists. Eleven Bulldogs scored four-plus points, including reserves Claire Rake and Kennedy Wallace, who delivered career highs with 11 and nine, respectively. Head coach Theo Dean reacted to the victory.

Truman shot 59 percent from the field and 44 percent from three. The Bulldogs recorded 25 assists and just five turnovers. Dean noted the margin allowed Truman to experiment.

Dean’s Bulldogs enter the holiday break 5-5.
