Truman Softball Adds An Assistant Coach

Truman State Softball has added Rachel Rhode as an assistant coach for the 2021-22 season. She previously served as assistant coach for the past two seasons at Bemidji (Minn.) State University. Rhode graduated from Union (Tenn.) College where she was the 2017 Appalachian Athletic Conference (AAC) Pitcher of the Year after a 2.08 ERA with 143 strikeouts. She pitched one season at the University of Tennessee-Martin and spent two years at Lake Land (Fla.) Junior College. Following her graduation and her degree in criminal justice at Union, she was a graduate assistant coach for her alma mater and helped the squad to a 31-20 record in 2019.
