Trace Adkins, Lonestar To Open State Fair’s Grandstand Concert Series

Two longtime country acts will open this year’s Missouri State Fair concert series.  The fair announced Thursday morning that Trace Adkins and Lonestar would perform August 11th on the Grandstand presented by CFM Insurance.  Adkins has achieved chart success with 20 singles in his 25-year career, including “Every Light in the House is On” and “This Ain’t (No Thinkin’ Thing)”.  He had been last year’s scheduled opener, but severe weather the afternoon of his performance forced the show’s cancellation.

Joining Adkins is Lonestar, which is marking 30 years of playing together with their new album 10 to1, a compilation of their number one hits including “Amazed”, “Mister Mom”, and “No News”.

Tickets for concerts and races at the Grandstand will go on sale June 28th through eTix.  The 120th Missouri State Fair will take place August 11th through 21st in Sedalia.
