Top Ranked Bearcats Smother The Bulldogs

Top ranked Northwest Missouri State only missed two two-point field goals for the game and overwhelmed Truman State 92-47 in Maryville today. Wes Dreamer returned to the lineup after missing three games with an injury and hit four triples in the first ten minutes to get the Bearcats out to a 23-8 lead. He led all scorers with 23. It was 45-28 at halftime and the ‘Cats connected on all 15 two-point field goals. The Bulldogs hit two three-pointers to start the second half but only got as close as 11. The ‘Dogs only connected on 5-of-24 shots the rest of the way. Coach Jeff Horner discussed the lopsided loss to the defending national champions…

Elijah Hazekamp scored 11 and Hunter Strait had 10 for Truman. The Bulldogs beat Southwest Minnesota State on Saturday by one and will head to Emporia State on Tuesday with a record of 3-2. Northwest is 5-0.
