Missouri continues to gradually ease restrictions amid the pandemic. Some counties have moved slower than others to ease those restrictions. Representative Cheri Toalson Reisch of Hallsville notes one of those counties is one she represents.

While Missouri is seeing an increase in daily cases of COVID-19, Toalson Reisch says the fatality rate for the virus is quite low.

The state Department of Health and Senior Services says 1,976 Missourians have died pneumonia and influenza since last October. More than one thousand Missourians have died from COVID-19 since March 8th.
