Brodric Thomas scored 32 points, grabbed seven rebounds and dished out six assists to lead Truman State to a 78-72 victory over Newman Friday afternoon at the Washburn Thanksgiving Classic in Topeka. It was Thomas’ second 30-point game of the season and helped the Bulldogs to their second straight win over an MIAA opponent to improve to 3-3.

Truman led Newman 38-26 at halftime. With Thomas on the bench with three fouls, the Jets trimmed the deficit down to three. Thomas came back into the game and helped the Bulldogs regain the momentum….

It was Thomas’ fourth 30-point game of his Bulldog career. Turner Scott scored 12 points and delivered seven assists and Mark Rogers added 11 points. The ‘Dogs lost starting center Cade McKnight two minutes into the game with an apparent knee injury. Former MACC Greyhound Marshawn Blackmon scored 18 points to lead Newman.
