Suspect Arrested in Columbia Shots Fired Incident

A suspect has been taken into custody in a shots fired incident in Columbia Friday afternoon in the 3200 block of Elm Grove Drive. Columbia Police arrested 23-year-old Najah McHenry of Columbia on a charge of first degree assault. At approximately 3pm Friday, officers encountered a 20-year-old female with a non-life threatening gunshot wound. She was taken to a local hospital. McHenry was taken to the Boone County Jail and the investigation continues.
