Summertime Temperatures Beginning to Settle in

With the calendar now flipped to June, the listening area will be experiencing some summertime temperatures over the next several days, with temperatures reaching well into the 80’s. Meteorologist Jonathan Kurtz explains the reason for the rise in temperatures.
The hotter temperatures are expected to stick around through Sunday. Because of a cooler spring, this warm weather may catch some Missourians of guard. Kurtz recommends taking the necessary steps to combat the hotter weather..
The warmer weather will also bring a chance for some pop up thunderstorms Wednesday and Thursday. However, the severe threat from the storms is expected to be minimal.
