The biggest shakeup in this week’s high school football rankings comes in Class 2. With Cardinal Ritter’s decision to suspend its football season last week, following an investigation into the use of an ineligible player, the previously top-ranked Lions are out of the poll, and the other nine teams each moved up one spot. Centralia is now fourth, Clark County is sixth, and Palmyra is ninth. Hallsville received a vote. There were no changes in Class 1. Marceline is still seventh, and Scotland County is still getting votes. Blair Oaks stays on top of Class 3. Boonville dropped out of the top ten, but is still getting votes. Helias is still seventh in Class 4. Battle remained tenth in Class 5.

In the separate eight-man poll, North Shelby is in third and getting a first-place vote after beating second-ranked Pattonsburg 92-88 Friday night. East Atchison is first with five first-place votes, and Pattonsburg has the other one. Southwest (Livingston)/Tina-Avalon/Hale dropped one spot to fifth.
