Spreading The Word About Opportunities With Sorghum

One task that faces the new executive director of the Sorghum Checkoff is reaching out to producers of the row-crop. Norma Ritz Johnson says their 13-member board spans the entirety of key milo-growing areas.
Johnson notes that sorghum demand has picked up alongside other grain commodities over the past several months, meaning that sorghum acres could increase this season.
Sorghum Checkoff Executive Director Norma Ritz Johnson was previously with the Lubbock, Texas Chamber of Commerce. Prior to that, she had been the communications director for the National Sorghum Producers.
