SERGEANT BROWN SAYS TO KEEP AN EYE OUT FOR DEER

We are in the midst of the period when the majority of deer-vehicle accidents take place. Sergeant Eric Brown with the Highway Patrol says one thing you don’t want to do is to swerve to avoid striking a deer.
Last year, there were 4,090 traffic crashes involving deer strikes in Missouri.
Two particularly dangerous times of the day for deer-vehicle accidents are around sunrise and sunset.
