Search Underway for New Sturgeon Superintendent

It was announced last month that current Sturgeon Superintendent Geoff Neill would be departing the district at the end of the school year to take the same position with the Gasonade County R-1 School District in Hermann. Discussion on the replacement for Neill took place at last week’s Sturgeon School Board meeting, which involved representatives from the Missouri Association of Rural Education. Neill explains the search process going forward.
The deadline to file for the position of Sturgeon Superintendent is March 8th. Neill says he plans to help out in the search process in any way possible.
Neill will begin his new role with the Gasconade County R-1 School District on July 1st.
