Schrader Leads NCAA D2 In Rushing

Truman State sophomore running back Cody Schrader leads all of NCAA Division II in rushing. NCAA stats have him for 1,648 yards, while the Truman Sports Information Department has him for 1,653. Either way, he leads Jordan Terrell of Barton by about 100 yards (1,547) and Toriano Clinton of Indianapolis is another 22 yards back (1,525) in third. Clinton and UIndy will be in Kirksville this Saturday to play the Bulldogs.

Schrader is tied for second in the country in rushing touchdowns with 20. He is two touchdowns behind Ouachita Baptist freshman Kendel Givens.

Jarrett Anderson was the last Truman Bulldog to win a regular season rushing title in 1996 when he racked up 2,140 yards and went on to claim the Harlon Hill Award for top D2 player.
